        A woman who makes a living by fishing along a river, reads the stories of Li Ya-Xian and Cuei Ying-Ying in her leisure time.  Once when she feels tired and dozes off, she dreams of Li Ya-Xian and Cuei Ying-Ying arguing with each other and their maids, and arguing with each other for their mistresses on the side.  When the argument reaches a stalemate, the fisher woman wakes up and the image in her dream dissolves as well. The fisher woman wonders about her dream.
Later, the fisher woman reads the story of Cai Wen-Ji and laments over Wen-Ji’s fate.  When she dozes off again, she sees Wen-Ji who, on her way back to China, stops at the ancient tomb where Zhao-Jun is buried.  The spirit of Zhao-Jun appears, and the two beautiful women from different times in history meet and talk to each other about their feelings.  These two beauties, so different in personality yet sharing a similar fate, tell their stories from different angles and lead the audience into the world of their hearts with the chanting of some desolate but beautiful, comical but marvelous poems about foreign lands…
